Starting fast

Lets see how this works. Well I was able to post from my ipod.

Just watched a show last night about fasting. I have been thinking about this for a while. There was a guy on PBS who did a four day fast (three days and four nights) and he cut down some important numbers in his body. But there was the other fasts like every other day you would restricted intake to 500-600 calories, maybe eat one light meal and then the next day you ate what you would like to. Or the 5/2 fast which was 5 days regular and 2 days 500-600 calories.

I believe it is has something to do with our metabolism but also giving the body a chance to do something other than digesting and storing fat.

The very best weight loss I did was when I wrote everything down that I ate and approximated the calories. Well you know what, I am certain I was 100% incorrect in my approximations, but it doesn't really matter, what mattered is that I tried to cut down my eating volume, so weather I measure in pounds, calories, ounces, stones, micrograms, or whatever, I still was able to cut down on my amounts and was culpable to myself. It worked. I also was walking, for some reason. I can swim all year long. In fact I swam over 110 miles last year! I will say I was much stronger and my endurance is awesome, but fat loss, not so much. Am I glad I did it, yes I am.

But I think I am going to concentrate on doing a fast, for however long I am going to do it and then see what happens.

My body certainly can handle it. I have plenty of reserves.

279.... hmmmmm... well  had I not been conscious of my weight all this time I bet I would be over 300 lbs by now. So have I done well? I have done better than I could have, but I  have lots of room to get better.

Ahhhhhh.... I HAVE SLIPPED BACKWARDS. It just goes to show you how vigilence is so important...

I RESOLVE TO GET BACK ON TRACK.

If I think about how much better I feel already and how much mire energy I have it us a no brainer to keep working out hard. I cut my funger two days ago but I just need to wrap it up in water proof tape and do a big swim. Eat less and start keeping track too.
If you are working out you know you should keep a trend downward month to month. Weigh yourself weekly and motivate your self daily. Remember the eighty twenty rule. If you are eating and worjing out correctly 80% of the time you are doing FANTASTIC!!!
Thanks,

Gained a few beer and chicken wings

Argh. It doesnt take much ti put it back on. I HAVE HIT THE FIRST PLATEAU. N problem it is just a matter of keeping track of calories and not letting stupidness in food kreep in. Just because I have lost ten pounds. I THINK IT MAY BE A GOOD THING TO lose about ten pounds and then hover there for a few weeks. Then go back on losing another ten. So this is the new concerted effort to get down to 260 this next month or four weeks.
Thanks

SWEET! It is working. Walking swimming and writing down my food.

Well. I have figured out what works for me. First of all I don't have to be obsesive on carbs. Just watch out not to go overboard on them. Workout in the morning before I eat some great big meal. And if I am a little bit hungry while working out then that is grear. I am trying to think of hunger as a positive while working out. Where else can my body get the energy from but fat if there us nothing to digest. It has to take it from my long term storage of energy and fat. So even if I eat later a bit too much it is still harder to convert it to fat. Walking seems to take it off faster than swimming and like swimming it is two things a net user of calories and keeps me from eating at the same time. Pkus I have more energy and oxigenating my system. Same with swimming.
It is working again. I HAVE LOST A SOLID TEN POUNDS OF FAT SO FAR. 12% of the way to Onesville.
